If you prefer, you can type a field before the URL, as in http://cat.jpg.to/r (The /r toggle lets you click ‘reload’ to get a constant...

This week's sign the apocalypse is upon us

The editor of a Tunisian paper was arrested for publishing this picture of Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira and his girlfriend Lena Gercke. I’m not sure if any editor in North America (other than Playboy, FHM and the like) would run this on their cover. But then, I don’t get out much…

Paul Krugman: “So should those who don’t share the right’s faith be comforted by the evidence that Mr. Romney doesn’t believe anything he’s saying? Should we, in particular, assume that, once elected, he would actually follow sensible economic policies? Alas, no. “For the cynicism and lack of moral courage that have been so evident in the campaign wouldn’t suddenly vanish once Mr....

Cafeteria Catholicism
A reader at Andrew Sullivan’s Dish points out the hypocrisy of the Catholic Church and the neo-conservative religious right: “From the official Catechism of the Catholic Church (2297): “Torture which uses physical or moral violence to extract confessions, punish the guilty, frighten opponents, or satisfy hatred is contrary to respect for the person and for human dignity.”...

Why I'd like to be US President for a day
You get to do really cool stuff like host an all-star bunch of musicians to honour the blues during Black History Month. BB King, Keb Mo, guitar heroes like Jeff Beck, Warren Hayes, Buddy Guy, the ageless Mick Jagger, and many others. The concert was streamed live and will be shown on PBS next Monday. Like the man says — check your local listings. Here’s a link to the list of...
